Cossacks 2 or Cossacks 2: The Napoleonic Wars is a computer video game in the genre of real–time strategy, which is a direct continuation of the warmly received first part. Unlike the version released in 2000, in the Napoleonic Wars, more emphasis was placed on realism than on arcade and base construction.

A well-known domestic studio called GSC Game World worked on the creation of the strategy.

Gameplay Features

Cossacks 2: The Napoleonic Wars tell about the events that took place on the territory of Europe in the period from the end of the XVIII to the 20th years of the XIX century. During this period, the French Empire created by Napoleon Bonaparte is gaining power, which begins large-scale military operations for hegemony in Europe.

In the second part, there were many gameplay changes, including:

• simplified mechanics of the development of its base, which makes it possible to focus more on the production of troops and the conduct of hostilities;
• the effectiveness of units is now affected by morale, enemy squad shooting, terrain and fatigue;
• the new "Battle for Europe" mode, where the construction was completely removed;
• a greater variety of units and auxiliary units.

Especially the troops were worked out - now it stands out:

• infantry (musketeers, chasseurs, sappers, grenadiers);
