Cossacks 3 /Cossacks 3 is a remake of the original part of the Cossacks, released back in 2000. The main feature is the maximum similarity of the game mechanics with the first part – this is in fact a tribute to the fans who have been supporting the studio for more than ten years.

Plot

The actions still unfold in the period from the XVII to the XVIII century - the so–called time of the Cossacks. It is during these years that his greatest flourishing and fall take place.

The player is given the opportunity to complete several campaigns for the following nations:

• cossacks;
• Russians;
• Austrians;
• French people;
• Englishmen.

Gameplay

The developers have left the game mechanics virtually untouched, but at the same time the game has acquired the following features:

• real-time battles, where the number of units on one map can reach 32 thousand;
• new physics that more realistically displays the behavior of units and projectiles;
• the landscape, now influencing tactics.

In addition, mechanics such as the formation of units into units, technology research and naval battles were refined, which were brought to a higher level compared to the first part.

Otherwise, the player still needs to build his own base, get resources and food, using them to train units and use them to destroy the enemy base.

The maintenance of the army requires a large amount of gold and food. When these resources run out, the army deserts or begins to starve.

Graphics

The main changes affected the graphic series. If the first part had only 2D textures, then the remake got a full-fledged three-dimensional graphics. Now one of the best strategy games looks modern.

The animation of units and shells has been completely redesigned. Now a huge map can accommodate a huge number of well-drawn objects. The models of units and buildings themselves have not changed,
