All in one hodgepodge

Doom 3 has absorbed all the best of the most popular shooters of the mid-2000s:

• Quake 2;
• Half Life;
• Aliens vs. Predator.

We start as usual: we go to the scientific complex in the middle of the base to find a scientist who has not been in touch for several days. Arriving at the place, we find evidence of a failed experiment and traces of some highly developed civilization. The first manifests itself in the form of gnashing claws trying to open or tear apart a powerful metal door. Soon, colleagues begin to emit terrifying death cries.

The scientific station appeared on Mars because of the search for the lost teleportation technology, through which the former inhabitants of the planet left their home. During gameplay, text and audio messages will come across with the results of sending people to another dimension through teleportation, where most of them died, but there were also successful returns. The results of the travels resulted in mass psychoses, paranoia, the appearance of hellish creatures in scientific laboratories.

To get out of hell, you will have to destroy the demon guarding the portal to another world on your own and seal the passage forever. And the previous settlers warned not to play with teleportation…

Darkness is a friend of monsters

The main feature of Doom 3 is its atmosphere. Darkness reigns everywhere, a little of it is scattered by the hero's flashlight, dim sources of neon light and sparks after an automatic burst. Moreover, the flashlight and the weapon are not used at the same time, and its battery quickly runs out. During the change of the flashlight to the gun, you can get a claw on the face, fly off half a meter, after which it turns out that the hero's gaze is directed far from the direction where the zombie is.

In dim light, it is not always possible to see the detailed face of the demon against the background of poor textures, clearly cop
