Doom (2016) PC | RiP by R.G. Mechanics

Doom is a relaunch of the eponymous series of shooters with a first–person view. As before, the plot tells about the invasion of demons on the red planet.

Plot

Events unfold in the distant future. Humanity has already colonized Mars, and some powerful scientific organization is exploring the planet. One of the employees of the corporation, who turned out to be ill with a serious psychological illness, opens a portal to Hell, from where hordes of demons begin to penetrate into our world.

One of the employees of the research station activates a cryogenic chamber in which lies the soldier of Doom, the main protagonist of the game. He was created for the war with the legions of Hell and it was on his shoulders that the task fell to save Mars.

The player must find a way to destroy the demons and close the portal. The answer lies in a strange artifact called the Crucible, as well as in the woman herself who opened the portal.

Gameplay

And although a new engine was created to restart the series, in terms of gameplay, the developers remained faithful to the original. Doom 2016 is characterized by:

• very fast movement through locations;
• incredibly powerful weapon;
• whole hordes of demons of Hell;
• a sea of blood.

The player is not restricted in the arsenal at all – you are free to carry a huge amount of ammunition and dozens of weapons – this will not affect the speed of movement at all.

Most of the enemies are weaker than the player, but seriously outnumber the soldier of Doom.

Graphics

In 2016, the Doom series completely changed. The players were presented with a game with an excellent level of graphics and a completely new engine and physics. The game world has become more spacious, and now the user gets at least some freedom of action.
