For many players, this name will immediately tell a lot about the game, because it was this company that created such masterpieces of the industry as the Gothic and Risen series, which became legendary almost immediately after their appearance. The events of ELEX, unlike the past creations of the studio, unfold in the distant future. The place of action is a planet called Magalan, divided into as many as four regions, each of which is unique and completely different from the others. The plot begins with the moment when a mysterious asteroid, which caused a global catastrophe and brought with it an unusual element called Ilex, falls on the surface of one of the continents of this world.

About Ilex it is necessary to mention a little more. This substance has an amazing property that allows you to activate various techniques, giving it an unusual, magical power.

The protagonist, who is an ex-general Albov, could not fulfill the mission assigned to him, as a result of which he now has to hide from his former comrades, sometimes even entering into an open confrontation with them.
