Often games, which are the ancestors of entire series, become a kind of symbols, one of the most famous parts. Hitman: Codename 47 is just an example of such a project, which eventually acquired the status of a truly "legendary": it is unlikely that nowadays you can find a person who considers himself knowledgeable in the gaming industry who has not heard this name.

Moreover, this game was not only the beginning of a series of stories about Agent 47, a cold-blooded killer, but also a completely new look at stealth action games for its time. In comparison with the shooters that dominated the market in the two thousandth years, much attention was paid to this component: there were a large number of ways to complete tasks, including ways without killing anyone other than targets.

Features of the game

1. 13 tasks. For each task, a unique, well-developed level of a large area has been developed, on which there are a large number of opportunities for passing. Any player will be able to find their own style of gameplay: the goal can be eliminated both absolutely quietly and by arranging a bloodbath. One of the features of the game system is the ability to change into the clothes of their victims, thereby masquerading as them, which opens up even more variability.
2. Plot. The game has a well-developed plot linking together every mission and every goal. The story is served not only by separate inserts, but also through letters detected by Agent 47 in the course of his assignments. The game also has two alternative endings that can be obtained.
3. Replayability. The number of different ways to complete each task allows a player who decides to go through the game again not to get bored, and even more: from the first pass it is impossible to evaluate all the possibilities, and therefore replaying levels is an integral part of the gameplay.
