Once upon a time, Rostov craftsmen from Haggard Games, under the strict guidance of the 1C giant, made quite a high-quality stealth action "Death to Spies", which told about the SMERSH agent during the Second World War. It turned out such a colorful Russian Hitman. The game had shortcomings with pace and complexity – Haggard Games overdid the details (like bloodstains on clothes) and greatly slowed down the pace of the game, which was quite fixable in the sequel. After almost ten years, he arrived in time.

Cold front

However, only fans will be able to see the sequel to Smersh in Aleksine's Gun, because the changes here are enormous:

1. Gromov during this time rose to lieutenant colonel, was sent as a spy to America and received the code name "Alekhine".
2. The Great Patriotic War was replaced by a Cold One.
3. During this time, our Alekhine learned hand-to-hand combat and shooting techniques from a variety of guns.

What is important, all these changes seriously affect the gameplay. So, for example, the change of time and place of action removed the native flavor from the game, but it still benefited the project – America of the 60s turned out great for the creators. Kennedys, motels, biker clubs, hatred of communism – the atmosphere, characters and stories of Haggard Games still work best. The locations were especially successful, each of which is one big puzzle, where we can solve the problem in half a dozen different ways. The arsenal is like a Hitman's: a garrote, a pair of silent guns, fists and your own ingenuity.

The performance fails a little, because of which Aleksine's Gun always has an "if". If the levels are drawn perfectly, then the characters turned out to be angular and poorly animated. If the atmosphere is conveyed wonderfully, then the spy story itself is poorly done. If stealth is interesting, then guards and opponents are always stupid.

As a result, the history of Haggard Games repeats itself. It is clear that these guys know how to make games – and Aleksine's Gun is a really interesting and potentially strong game. However, a thousand and one technical blemishes can
