Alan Wake Remastered

Alan Wake Remastered is a re-release of one of the most original horror shooters, which boasts not only good action, but also a very cool story worthy of a film adaptation.

Review

At the centre of this dark story is a talented American writer Alan Wake, who together with his wife moves to the provincial town of Bright Falls and buys a house by the lake. The past owner of this house - was also a writer and the circumstances of his death, after which the housing was put up for sale, were very vague and gloomy.

Soon after moving in, strange things begin to happen to Alan. Then his wife disappears and the protagonist encounters a certain entity at the bottom of the lake, which wants to enslave the world.

Gameplay

A great story is not all that the atmospheric Alan Wake Remastered can boast of. It has a very addictive gameplay, which is characterised by the following features:

1. Light is one of the key mechanics - it is the one that is able to weaken opponents captured by Darkness, after which Alan can finish them off with firearms.
2. The protagonist's torch runs out of power quickly, and therefore it's important to look for batteries.
3. You can also use the surrounding world, such as streetlights or spotlights, to weaken the Darkness.
4. The battles themselves are quite complex, as even ordinary mobs are not easy to kill.
5. Lots of references to Stephen King's cult horror films.
