Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of the most anticipated releases of 2023, which greatly improves the original horror in terms of gameplay and makes the graphics as colorful and modern as possible.

Review

The storyline is the only thing the developers haven't reworked. As before, the player controls Special Agent Leon Kennedy. He is entrusted with an incredibly responsible task - to find and release from captivity the daughter of the American president named Ashley Graham.

Intelligence managed to establish her location. The criminals, along with the hostage is hiding in a small Spanish village near the old castle. The protagonist sets out on a mission and upon arrival discovers that the entire village population is infected with a virus that turns them into mutants and zombies.

It soon becomes known that the kidnappers are members of the ancient occult organization Los Illuminados, who worship the virus and dream to spread it throughout the planet. The protagonist has a monstrous journey to the castle, eliminate members of the cult and save the daughter of the president of the United States. 

Gameplay

The gameplay itself has undergone some changes that significantly improve it and adjust it to the requirements of the modern gamer. Among the main innovations it is important to highlight:

1. The atmosphere has become many times darker, and the mystery itself is scarier.
2. The knife has become times more useful and situational - with it you can silently eliminate the enemy, as well as more comfortably fight back in a direct confrontation at close range.
3. The knife now has a safety margin, forcing the player to periodically buy new ones.
4. A more convenient system for switching between weapons - you no longer have to go to inventory to do so.
5. Grenades are illuminated before throwing.
6. Several improvements to the crafting system - now, in addition to therapeutic concoctions, the player can create ammunition from gunpowder. 

But most of all against the background of other changes the picture stands out. Resident Evil 4 Remake is well worth the title of one of the most beautiful video games of 2023 and definitely the scariest one.
