Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West is a major addition to the famous real-time strategy. The addon also has a Definitive Edition and boasts improved graphics, adjusted for modern monitors and hardware.

Innovations

The main innovations touched the story campaigns - there are three more of them:

1. King Edward - will give the opportunity to take over England and conquer neighboring Scotland and Wales. 
2. Gothivil Dynasty - takes you to the island of Sicily, where you must act in a time of instability and lead the island through a crisis. 
3. The House of Burgundy - As the leader of a small house in the duchy of the same name, you must destroy rivals and seize power.

Gameplay

Despite the new content, the addition does not change the gameplay and for, as before, the following features: 

1. Each mission requires the same thing - the development of the base, extraction of resources and the destruction of the enemy through hired units.
2. A wide variety of buildings - from the usual residential buildings for residents to defensive structures, industrial workshops and military barracks. 
3. The action takes place in real time, which takes some getting used to, because you have to manage large armies.
4. Each faction boasts a unique set of units with their own weak and strong qualities. 
5. Building and hiring requires collecting resources, including wood, stone, iron, gold, and more.
