Aliens: Colonial Marines [v 1.0.210.751923 + 8 DLC] (2013) PC

One of the most famous film universes in the world, created by the efforts of such venerable directors as Ridley Scott, James Cameron, and, in many ways, the artist Hans Giger, could not get a decent game embodiment for a very long time. Despite the grace of the material, the developers could not maintain a balance between the visual component and the elements of the shooter, and for some projects that appeared, they were simply ashamed because of their squalor.

In 2013, SEGA (developers from Gearbox Software) announced a new game based on the universe of "alien" Aliens: Colonial Marines. The general outline of the plot remains the same as in the classic works on this topic – the paratroopers of the future will have to fight on a spaceship with terrible alien creatures, whose sole purpose is the complete and merciless extermination of all living things.

Design and gameplay features

The main features of the presented game include:

1. Numerous enemies. Face-grabs, drones, xenomorph warriors, large xenomorphs, hive queen, kamikaze monsters, and others. Each of them has its own characteristics for destruction, you will have to show dexterity and ingenuity.
2. The atmosphere of the original Ridley Scott film has been preserved.
3. A variety of equipment and weapons for the destruction of alien creatures. Among other things, flamethrowers, pulse rifles, motion sensors.
4. Extensive character leveling system, accumulation of experience points.
5. There is a single-player mode and multiplayer, which, in turn, is divided into co-op, combat, extermination, survival and bug hunting.

Aliens: Colonial Marines has an excellent visual, though a little short of the one shown in the trailer, but also good, and a musical component. It is immediately clear that professional designers and composers, who relate to the original with great love, worked on the project. All locations and objects from the alien universe were recreated in great detail.

Reviews in the gaming press

Most of the reviews for the game Aliens: Colonial Marines contained conflicting ratings. The preservation of the authentic atmosphere of the original "strangers" and the excellent action component of the project were noted. It should be borne in mind that fans are quite sensitive to their idols, so any attempt to do something based on their favorite universe will be doomed to numerous attacks. It is not worth paying attention to them. It is highly recommended for e
