XCOM 2

XCOM 2 is a video game that harmoniously combines genres such as turn–based strategy and RPG. The events unfold in the original sci-fi universe of XCOM – twenty years after the end of the first part.

Plot

The plot tells about the confrontation of humanity against an aggressive alien race. They made a daring massive attack on Earth and were able to win the war thanks to their advanced technologies. More than 20 years have passed since the mass resistance fell.

However, people did not give up – the defenders of civilization are operating underground, which is headed by the organization XCOM 2, created specifically to resist aliens.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the XCOM 2 turn-based strategy, it is necessary to note:

1. On the strategic map, the gamer is obliged to conduct military operations to capture region after region, gradually freeing territories from enemies. Also in this mode, the user manages his own operational base – develops it, builds new buildings, explores technologies, and so on.
2. In tactical mode, the user fights against enemies on the field representing the grid – each participant acts in a certain turn, controlling the units.
3. Battles thought out to the smallest detail, in which the gamer is obliged to use the strengths of his fighters and hide weaknesses.
4. There is a wide variety of agents available to recruit into the organization, and each of them has unique perks and passive abilities.
