Imperator: Rome

Imperator: Rome is a turn–based global strategy video game that tells the story of the creation and dawn of the Roman Republic. This state in the era of antiquity was the strongest and richest state on the planet.

Review

In fact, this strategy is a much improved version of another project of the Europa Universalis studio: Rome. Unlike its predecessor, Imperator: Rome is distinguished by a truly modern level of graphics and much greater gameplay capabilities and functions for controlling the faction.

As before, the single-player campaign covers a period of approximately 250 years of the Republic's existence from 300 BC to 24, when a full-fledged monarchy was established in the state and the republic turned into an empire.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the Imperator: Rome strategy, it is necessary to note:

1. On the global map, at least 400 states, including civilized Roman, barbarian tribes and kingdoms, as well as Hellenistic countries, confront each other.
2. A huge virtual world that covers the whole of Europe, a significant area of Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
3. Each state is divided into provinces, and those, in turn, now produce a unique resource that is particularly important for the development of the country.
4. Special attention is paid to the development of key characters who are generals, statesmen and cultural figures.
5. Three forms of government – monarchy, tribe and republic with unique institutions.
6. Before the start of each battle, you can choose tactics – defensive, using archers, cavalry, and so on.

Imperator: Rome is an excellent strategy for those who want to use numerous tools to develop their state in the period of antiquity and see how the most powerful republic of that time grows
