Plot

Approximately two thousand years BC there was a long war between the Trojans and the Spartans. After bloody battles, the parties agreed on peace. But he was interrupted by the audacious trick of the Trojan prince Paris – he kidnapped the young wife of the Spartan king and took her to Troy.

Paris destroyed peaceful relations – King Menelaus turned to his elder brother Agamemnon and he brought together all the Greek states with the aim of destroying Troy with a powerful fist. The Greeks gathered a huge army of thousands of ships and went to the shores of the Trojans.

Gameplay

Total War Saga: Troy takes you to the legendary era of confrontation between the Greeks and Trojans, where the greatest heroes played a key role – Achilles, Paris, Hector, King Odysseus and others.

Among the key innovations in the gameplay , it is necessary to highlight the following:

• the mechanics of favoring the gods have appeared – they will not play a direct role in the conflict, but their good attitude will give bonuses to both troops and the economy;
• special hero units have been added, such as Achilles, Hector, Odysseus, already mentioned above;
• mythological creatures appeared as units that can be used on the battlefield – these are minotaurs, Amazons, centaurs and other creatures from Greek mythology;
• heroes now have the function to engage in a duel right during the battle – in this mode they will not be disturbed by other units;
• the absence of naval battles – the fleet will land on the shore and fight there already;
• a redesigned system of economy that is based on barter;
