The Outlast Trials

The Outlast Trials is a computer video game in the genre of cooperative horror with elements of survival, the events of which unfold during the Cold War. This third part is not connected with the plot of the previous games of the line, but its actions take place in the same universe. The main characters will be victims of secret experiments of scientists who are trying to learn how to control human consciousness by conducting experiments on unsuspecting patients.

A team called Red Barrels is working on the creation of the project. Video games have not yet been released on computers, but fans are looking forward to the release of atmospheric horror, which can now be played together with friends. However, do not assume that the horror movie will become less scary – the group will be in much greater danger than the lone heroes in the previous parts.

Plot

At the moment, the developers have not disclosed much information about the storyline and only indicated common features. During the Cold War, the scientific sector began to develop seriously, and a certain group of scientists decided to conduct dangerous experiments on human consciousness. They started brainwashing patients who didn't suspect anything by going to the hospital. As a result, they have given birth to incredibly dangerous psychopaths who have lost all connection with reality and are ready to kill anyone who gets in their way.

However, a small group of patients managed to get out of prison, and they will try to get out of the hospital, which is teeming with psychopaths.

Gameplay

As already mentioned, the developers have somewhat changed the vector of development of the series and the new horror will receive the following gameplay developments (however, little is known about all the features yet):

• you can go through the story campaign not only alone, but also in cooperative mode, which supports up to four players at the same time;
• instead of the already familiar camera, special night vision goggles are being replaced;
• a wide system of interaction between characters;
