Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is an isometric RPG in 2.5D format, in which you will plunge into the world of fantasy and magic.

The game was developed by the Singapore studio Witching Hour.

Description

The game takes place in Ombre, the only city in the world where magic exists. However, his resources are not infinite, and to be able to cast more powerful spells, you need to wear a mysterious mask. This feature makes Ombre a nest of intrigues, political games and eternal quarrels. The player assumes the role of Inspector Cicero Gavar, who has been summoned from exile to solve the case of a mysterious disappearance that has shocked the whole city.

Gameplay

The game's mechanics draw inspiration from Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age. We take control of several characters. By studying the isometric perspective, we explore the world and participate in battles. The latter can be done in two ways: fast, which focuses on action, and tactical, which allows us to pause the game, think through everything and choose which actions will lead us to victory. The characters have their own unique abilities, and magic that accumulates in masks.

Among the key features of Masquerada are:

• the plot is linear, but quite extensive, the script takes about 500 pages;
• an interesting visual style that combines elements of many completely different environments;
