Master of Magic is a single–player, strategic fantasy game developed by Simtex and published by MicroProse in 1994.

Plot

The story of the Master of Magic takes place in two worlds: Arcane and Mirro. Arcanus is a land very similar to our planet, with climatic zones and diverse landscapes. It contains forests, oceans, meadows and deserts. Myrror is a parallel world in which the use of magic is better developed. There is a fantastic flora and fauna on the Mirror that does not exist on other lands. These two areas are connected to each other by special portals called "Towers of Magic", allowing units to travel between them.

Gameplay

The location is randomly generated each time the player starts a new game. At the same time, you can adjust the size of the land, magic power, difficulty of passing and other functions. The user can customize the skills, spell options, and appearance of their mage by choosing one of the fourteen races for the initial city. The gameplay begins with units exploring their surroundings, pushing away the fog of war that obscures visibility on the map. During the exploration, your army is killed by monsters that guard the treasures. Magic Towers discover other settlements, capturing which will give you more improved buildings. The opening of new cities will also give an improvement to the economy. These centers can:

1. Produce food, with which you can create new soldiers and carry out upgrades.
2. To mine gold.
3. Accumulate the mana needed to reproduce spells and various abilities of the wizard.

Magical abilities can be improved or new ones can be learned. A Wizard breaks spells into six schools of magic. For example, the Magic of Life, healing and protecting. Deadly Magic drains life and summons the undead. Chaos magic distorts the tar
