Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is a role–playing video game "Forgotten Kingdoms of Dungeons and Dragons", released in 2001 by Ubisoft.

Plot

The story begins in the city of New Flan. Dracolich and his magical queen have seized control of Mythal, an ancient magic that once protected the long-abandoned elven city of Myth Drannor. The elves are completely subservient to them, this cult intends to expand its dominance by making everything one city– and one soul– at a time.

Four heroes travel to the Myth Drannor in Elminster to stop the Dracolich and the Enchantress Queen. If they are not prevented, they will use the forces of "Death" to conquer Faerun. These characters must travel to all areas of Myth Drannor, including dungeons and catacombs under the city, in an attempt to stop evil from taking over the region.

Gameplay

The entire gameplay takes place in the third person, similar to the Baldur's Gate series. All combat actions are step–by-step, in real time. The game uses three-dimensional characters pre-processed with two-dimensional backgrounds. "Pool of Radiance" is a study of dungeons, with an emphasis on fighting and solving the mysteries of the catacombs. The plot and interaction with the characters is the minimum part of the game. You can also talk to other users. Moving through the game, your squad will gain a level. You can upgrade characteristics such as:

1. Dexterity. Increases the chance of evasion and attack for some warriors.
2. Power. Increases health and the degree of damage that you can withstand.
3. Intelligence. It is necessary for a magician who can use spells more often and more strongly.
4. Wisdom.
5. Charm. The hero feels better when talking to an NPC.
