Pit People (2018) PC

Pit People is a turn–based strategy video game with a good share of funny humor and cartoon characters.

The game was developed by the independent studio The Behemoth.

Description

The events follow the exploits of Horace, a humble blueberry farmer, who went in search of his beloved son, who, unfortunately, was kidnapped by a giant mutant space bear.

Gameplay

The gameplay consists of the player traveling through a vast world, with enemies placed all over the map, random and deliberate. Battles begin as soon as the player comes into contact with an enemy character on the map. They take place on a mesh surface, on which six characters are placed on each side. Unlike some other role-playing games, Pit People does not give direct control over the actions of each character, instead, as soon as the player moves the unit to a specified location, the computer evaluates the best possible move. At first, this automation and the random element of the battle made the game feel too simple, but Pit People quickly solves this problem due to the huge number of downloads, character types and various goals.
