Description

The events begin during a psychotherapeutic study of the late 70s. The main character – Stephen Dowell, a doctor of psychology, who occupies a leading position in progressive therapy, wakes up on his desk, alone in an empty house, several doors are cordoned off with police tape, and it is already clear that the irreparable has happened. Very early we learn, through notes and tape recordings, that the doctor has lost his wife and child. The story is deeper than it seems, and Stephen is a man with dreams, aspirations and shortcomings similar to all of us.

Gameplay

Stephen's journey is a recollection of events in his house, in the hospital where he works, and in the garden of the house, as well as a demonstration of his stylized and fragmented psyche. Interaction with the environment is largely limited, because in fact the gameplay is not the main focus of Rise of Insanity. The main goal is to present a convincing, dramatic and terrible story, presented by a well–thought-out theatricalization with which you can interact, a kind of interactive graphic novel. The aforementioned theatricality is also intended to make the game even more intimidating and exciting in VR mode, undoubtedly worth experiencing if there is such an opportunity.
