Roots of Insanity is a horror–survival video game from the first and third person, where you, in the role of a doctor, will experience horror in a lonely psychiatric hospital.

The game was developed by the independent studio Crania Games.

Description

The main character is Riley McClain, a young doctor working the night shift, where variable, strange events have begun since his mother died. At the hospital, he works to hide the secret of unauthorized experiments. After hearing a strange noise, he goes to investigate an abandoned wing of the hospital. As expected, things are not going particularly smoothly, given that Riley is an epileptic and sometimes, for this reason, sees ghostly images before his eyes.

Gameplay

It is necessary to find out the source of the strange events taking place in every corner of the rooms, with layers of dead bodies, patients and doctors. A video camera is available to you for research and illumination of the environment, because it is so non-transparent that it is useless to ignore night shooting. You will have to run into a circle of enemies, in search of objects and solve puzzles. If this reminds you of Outlast, you're not wrong. Although the name of the game is related to madness, Riley's character is a doctor, but looks like a fighter with melee skills who tries in vain to express himself due to lack of depth. During the battle, there are three types of strikes from the first person, as well as the use of weapons, which is carried out from the third.

Features:
