S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Apocalypse (2011) PC

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Apocalypse is a story modification to the game Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, which continues to tell the story of the Shooter after the events in the third part (The Call of Pripyat).

The developer practically did not touch the gameplay – the changes related to the gameplay are aimed only at making the Zone atmospheric.

Plot

The main character again becomes the Shooter, who now has to lead a group of special forces to the territory of "Yantar". After the evacuation from Pripyat, the helicopter crashed, and the commandos were trapped.

Initially, nothing foreshadowed trouble – everything is as usual, the Zone resists and the helicopter crashed. However, the further away, the more difficult it is. It turns out that the fall of the chopper is the work of a new powerful group called the Apocalypse, and it is against it that we will have to confront within the framework of a completely new campaign.

The new plot consists of dozens of interesting missions that are spelled out no worse than in the original Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl – everything is still dramatic and twisted.

Gameplay

Despite the fact that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Apocalypse is positioned as a story modification, there are a small number of gameplay changes that also affect the passage, and therefore they should be highlighted:

1. Now the corpses of the enemies are rotting, and therefore all the shootings can not be delayed if you want to search them all.
2. The voice acting of some mutants and weapons has been changed to more realistic and atmospheric.
3. New mechanics of radiation effects on the health of the main character and NPC.
4. The textures of the weapon, which seemed to the developers not quite beautiful, have been refined.
