S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Duty - Philosophy of War is a global story modification developed on the Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl platform, which tells the story of the confrontation between two factions: The Search and the Apocalypse.

An independent amateur studio called Zaurus worked on the creation of the mod.

Plot

The main character has been working in the Search group for a long time. The number of fighters she has is not too large, and therefore most often the German and his friends are engaged in performing "peaceful tasks" aimed at finding someone or something.

However, not so long ago, a certain Apocalypse gang declared war on the Search, and now your character is forced to wage an unequal struggle with the predominant forces of the enemy.

The German, unaware of the events in Pripyat, decides to take an order to search for three stalkers, which in the future will lead to unexpected and monstrous consequences. 

Gameplay

As for the changes in the gameplay, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Duty - Philosophy of War does not introduce anything fundamentally new into the series. The main achievement of the modification is the plot, which impresses with its dynamism. And yet it is worth noting the following innovations:

• locations from the Call of Pripyat were moved to the platform of the Shadow of Chernobyl;
• tweaked graphics – textures received higher resolution;
• new weapon models and improved animation;
• Dozens of food and other valuable goods have been added to the Zone.

Throughout the entire campaign, you will participate in colorful and very dangerous shootouts – now opponents are waiting at every turn. Most conflicts can no longer be resolved peacefully.
