Cortex Command (2011) PC

Plot

The game takes place in the distant future – people have mastered space and are leaving planet Earth for further conquest of galaxies. The only thing that stands in the way of conquest is the absence of physical bodies. People left their bodies on Earth, and they travel through space in the form of brains.

The first thing to do on an uninhabited, new planet is to create reliable protection for the brain, otherwise the enemy will be able to destroy it and survival will be impossible. When the construction of bunkers and structures for protection is completed, security is required to protect the approaches to the bunker.

Having reliably strengthened his position, the main character moves forward and attacks other organisms with the same goal as they do – to capture and destroy their brains. Battles to reach bunkers and capture the brain occupy most of the plot of the game.

Gameplay

The materials that the hero collects on the new planet are used to build structures. They have certain properties and composition, which is called pixel physics. They can be converted in the built-in store.

Armor and shields are used for protection. Weapons are represented by bombs, submachine guns, machine guns, grenade launchers, laser rifles. The parts supplemented with mods include up to a hundred types of different weapons.

Vehicles can be used to overcome distances. Bunkers are guarded by soldiers, it is possible to be guarded by alien organisms that sided with the main character.
