Myth II: Soulblighter (1998) PC

Myth 2: Soulblighter is a 1998 real–time tactical video game developed by Bungie for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. This is the second game in the series "Myth" and the sequel "Myth: Fallen Lords".

Plot

60 years have passed since the Great War, when Connacht, the hero who saved the world from Myrcridia a thousand years ago, returned under the guise of Balor, and his lieutenants, the Fallen Lords, tried to destroy humanity. Elric, the sole survivor, is now the king of the province and rules Madrigal. This is an era of peace and prosperity, the Dark Side exists only in stories. Although the fate of Chief Lieutenant Balor remains unknown.

The game begins when Arex experiences a nightmare, remembering a bloody war. He woke up to find a raven with red eyes watching him. As in the first game, it tells about the records of a soldier in the "Legion", which is now headed by Kruniak. According to the warriors, he is more interested in politics than the army, and spends time on what men perceive as trivial errands. In their latest assignment, they investigate reports of a robbery, but are shocked to find Willow Creek village besieged by the undead. They clear the settlement, and then head to the stand, where they see hundreds of Thralls heading for Tallow.

Gameplay

Since Myth II is a real–time tactical game, the player does not need to engage in micro-management of the economy, does not need to build a base or buildings, build up an army, acquire resources and explore new technologies. Instead, each level starts with the army already assembled and ready for battle. The player controls forces consisting of several units, each of which has its own strengths and weaknesses.
