Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Horn of the Abyss is an addition to the popular turn–based RPG Heroes of Might and Magic 3, developed by an experienced team from the Russian studio HotA Crew. 

Plot

The addition gives you the opportunity to go through three brand new campaigns, telling about the adventures of the daring pirate ship captain Jeremy Albatross.

The plot revolves around a powerful artifact called the Horn of the Abyss. Jeremy and his team are now involved in the search for this powerful weapon that can save them from death.

Gameplay

The addition has changed the gameplay of the original Heroes of Sword and Magic quite a lot, fixing a lot of bugs, and also modified existing mechanics. Among the innovations , the following points can be highlighted:

• there was a negative luck, which reduces the chance of the squad to successfully hit enemy units;
• now the turn-based battle map corresponds to the terrain on the strategic map;
• there are new units, items, locations and cities;
• many skills have been enhanced and redesigned;
• now each city has a unique appearance that corresponds to its level of development.

If earlier some units were unbalanced, then in addition they completely got rid of this problem, making the project more playable. The location of some objects on the map has been revised, prices for certain items have been changed, etc.  

Graphics

Significant changes have also affected the graphics. The game runs on the same engine, but the level of detail of each object has increased significantly. Special attention should be paid to the processing of animation of unit movements in a turn-based tactical battle. New movements have been added to some units altogether.
