Mafia is a popular series of video games with an open game world that combine elements of a shooter and a car driving simulator. The series was created by the famous Czech company 2K Czech.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven

The action takes place in the 1930s in a fictional city called Lost Haven. The US government introduced a "dry law", which gave impetus to the development of crime.

A taxi driver named Thomas, being in a difficult life situation, plunges into the criminal world and becomes a member of a mafia family. The player must complete various mafia tasks, travel around a large open city, kill enemies and participate in races. Thomas will fight using various firearms corresponding to the era.

Mafia II

The actions are transferred to the post-war years. Events are still unfolding in America. This time the main character is a guy from a poor family and a veteran of World War II – Vito Scaletta.

Thanks to his friend Vito becomes a member of a powerful criminal organization – the Italian mafia. The hero will take part in a war between warring factions and help his family overcome the financial crisis.

The second part of Mafia was named the best in the series. Critics compared the plot of the game with the famous movie "The Godfather", which keeps in suspense until the end.

Mafia III

The third part of Mafia has undergone significant changes both in terms of plot and gameplay. The actions were transferred to the seventies of the twentieth century, and the place of the mafia is occupied by gangs. The main character becomes a black veteran of the Vietnam War named Lincoln. He must avenge the death of his foster family to the criminal authorities of the city of New Bordeaux.

For the first time in the series, the ability to sail a boat and perform numerous side tasks was added, although the emphasis is still on the main plot. Together with his gang, Lincoln must also capture and hold areas of the city th
