Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is a famous shooter from the Czech studio Illusion Softworks. The third-person game also combines elements of driving.

Plot

Thomas Angelo is the main character of the game, an unremarkable taxi driver. The actions of the "Mafia" take place in the 1930s, when the Great Depression and prohibition were in full swing in the United States. Thomas's chance acquaintance with members of the criminal clans Polly and Sam draws him into the world of crime. Now Angelo is a mafia boss who has a very dangerous but lucrative job. Frenzied car chases, major shootings, daring raids, robberies and assassination attempts – that's what has become the meaning of Thomas Angelo's life.

To the creators of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven managed to convey the spirit that reigned in America in the 30s of the last century. Thanks to the elaboration of the plot and cinematography, the game has received numerous positive reviews from fans and reputable publications.

The shooter is divided into 6 parts: prologue, Intermezzo 1-4, epilogue. Each chapter of the game begins with high-quality video tracks that resemble mafia movies. In total, the gamer must complete 23 different exciting missions.

The main location in the game is the fictional city of Lost Heaven. The mafia clans Salieri and Morello are fighting for power in this city. Devoid of moral values, criminals are ready to bite each other's throats in the battle for the "criminal Olympus".

Gameplay

The gameplay allows you to move around the city both by car and on foot. To successfully complete missions, Thomas needs weapons. The main character can take 7 weapons with him at the same time. There is a huge variety of weapons to choose from: from a steel rod and brass knuckles, and ending with a Thompson submachine gun and a Molotov cocktail.
