SimCity is an economic planning game. Every action of the player will always have a positive or negative effect on the overall condition of the town. For example, unjustified tax increases can negatively affect the standard of living of the population, and an insufficient number of police stations will lead to an increase in crime. Therefore, the player will have to think through every step so as not to harm the residents, the city treasury and the environment.
