"Betrayer" is a game in the genre of shooter and action, but at the same time it can be assigned the status of "unusual".

Plot

The plot of the game takes the gamer to the middle of the seventeenth century. The main character is either mute or shell-shocked after a shipwreck (he does not speak at all, and his name is also unknown), washed up on the coast of North America with a bunch of various chests. Making his way along the path, he stumbles upon an empty village, where figures from ashes (or maybe from other material) remained from the inhabitants. To call someone alive, the main character rings a bell. But the effect is the opposite. Darkness comes and instead of people, ghosts run into the village.

Now the traveler will have to answer three classic questions:

1. What happened in the village.
2. Where have the residents gone?
3. Where the ghosts came from.

The answers to these and other (leading) questions will be submitted not in the form of beautiful screensavers, but with the help of notes.

Features of the game

The uniqueness of the game lies in so many moments:

1. There is no voice acting. The characters communicate with the help of text information. Therefore, the gamer will have to stock up on a collection of English words.
2. Notes scattered in the village, forest and other places will bring the hero closer to solving the mystery.
3. The game is a mixture of many genres: RPG, quest, horror, action and others.
4. The big world is divided into several small locations, inaccessible until several specific tasks are completed, the meaning of which is mainly to search for wooden idols (totems), purify them and fight through a shootout with spirits (skeletons) who are trying to "pollute" the totem again.
5. Black and white image.
6. Frightening voice acting, which is scarier than the enemies themselves.

But the most interesting thing in "Betrayer" is communication with ghosts. Every soul has its own story, and it doesn't always have a happy ending. When talking to a ghost, you can choose one question from several options, but you will only get to know the end of the s
