The Legacy of Kain series of games tells us the story of the life of a vampire, or rather an entire dynasty of vampires. Literally everything is perfect in this game: music, environment, background sounds, interior design and all interior items in the game. 1. The pioneer was the game Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. She came out back in 1996 and told the story of a man Kane, who came from a noble family, but was killed in a robbery. One day he wakes up, but realizes that he is no longer the same as he was before. He became a vampire. His new goal will be to help the Circle of Nine, those chosen ones who keep the balance of evil and good in the fantastic world of Nosgot.
2. The next part was Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, which was released 3 years after the original game.It tells the story of the decline of Nozgoth, since in order to save him, Cain had to kill himself, but did not do it. And the higher powers resurrect Raziel, a former friend of Cain, whom he killed. This part received high marks from critics, and the disadvantages were attributed to the weak end of the plot and the monotony of tasks.
3. Less than two years have passed since the game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 was released, becoming a logical continuation of the storyline of the previous part. The player starts immediately on the field with the bits of Raziel and Cain. The key character Mobius appears in the game, through whose efforts Raziel loses Cain and begins the search anew, while remembering his past. According to critics, this game was weaker than the previous parts. But I won a lot in the visual component.
4. Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain was released in 2002. The plot of the game starts 400 years after the events of the very first part, that is, it tells the background of the characters in more detail. It describes the events after the destruction of the Columns of Nosgot, the war of humans and vampires, where Cain is defeated by humans, but a secret order of vampires manages to save him, and Cain again goes on the warpath to take revenge. The game was remembered for its cool fatalities, high-quality and appropriately voiced characters, as well as unique tactics for each boss.
5. Legacy of Kain: Defiance has become the last chapter of the story about the vampire Kain. At the end, Cain's motives are finally revealed, why he threw Raziel into the abyss. The finale of the plot consists in a battle with the Elder God, who turns out to have ruled the entire life of vampires. The finale of the series came out worthy and was put by Sony among the greatest games for consoles, but Legacy of Kain was also awarded a lot of awards on the PC.

Gameplay

Perhaps the description sounds too grand, but this game deserves it to the fullest. Even the opening scene, which lasts only 2 minutes, accommodates the entire description of the story of the upcoming part of the game at once. Learning the game is closely woven into the plot and does not look like a standard training, the player involved in the story does not even notice how he studies all the basics of management and the capabilities of the hero. This beginning sets the tone for the entire series. In addition, everything is externally packed in beautiful graphics.
