Metro: Last Light is a plot continuation of the original Metro 2033 game, which was developed by the notorious studio 4A Games.

Plot

The actions unfold immediately after the completion of the original. Artyom managed to destroy the entire hive of Blacks with great efforts, which means that the threat from their side was eliminated forever.

In addition, after a twenty-year nuclear winter, the sun appeared on the surface for the first time. Humanity has a bright future ahead and no need to hide in the subway network. And yet Artyom is still tormented by nightmares about blacks. Those creatures were capable of having a strong psychic effect on a person. Artyom does not stop thinking that the blacks have survived and the dreams are their handiwork.

Gameplay

In terms of gameplay, the changes were minimal. The following features are characteristic of Metro: Last Light:

• minimalistic interface that complicates the passage;
• the presence of special devices that report on the health status of the character;
• a large selection of firearms;
• the need for constant monitoring of the presence of filters for the gas mask, without which the hero cannot breathe;
• there are open locations that differ significantly from the closed tunnels of the Moscow subway.

Graphics

The key changes affected primarily the visual side. The graphics have been significantly improved, as well as the animation of the characters' movements, which, frankly, was lame in the first part. The same thing happened with the facial animation. "Puppet" characters and monsters now began to move realistically, whereas before they looked like dummies.
