Homefront: The Revolution is a shooting game in the vast open world, released on the updated CryEngine engine. It includes the following DLC:

The storyline

The middle of the 70s of the XX century. APEX Corporation appears in North Korea, which allowed the state to overtake the United States in terms of technology. Over time, the country becomes the largest supplier of equipment and weapons to the States. When the US economy collapsed due to large-scale military operations in the Middle East, the DPRK sent troops to the territory of a friendly country exhausted by loans under the guise of a humanitarian mission, as if to establish order. After that, the Koreans cut off all their own electronics that were in the United States, turning the country into a dependent and puppet state.

The gamer connects to the game at the moment when the main character named Badge – one of the underground with a couple of comrades became victims of Asians. Friends are killed, but Baiji manages to escape from the punisher's stray bullet and witness the death of the resistance leader. Upon returning to the camp, he was unlucky for the second time – his friends mistook the lucky man for a spy and almost shot him.

Free or a slave?

The main bet of The Revolution is made on the openness of the game world, modeled on Far Cry with the disadvantages and features of its mechanics. The main task in the shooter is to capture the posts of Koreans who are characterized by low IQ and short–sightedness, and also fall somewhere in the textures. It is not necessary to destroy the enemy, the narrow–eyed constantly respawn behind the nearest wall, and sometimes behind the Badges, so shooting them is a lost cause. It is better to kill a couple of invaders and break through to the key point to play a mini-game and capture the checkpoint. After leaving, instead of Asians, his territory will be flooded by partisans.

An uprising at the side of the enemy

The enemy has announced a hunt for the main character: he is being chased by tanks, drones, turntables and armored vehicles, a couple of soldiers can catch the new leader of the militia anywhere. Otherwise, the game boils down to a strange guerrilla war. There are hot battles in the "red" areas, which does not become an obstacle to the creation of resistance bases on the other side of the road from the checkpoint. In the "yellow" quarters at this time, life goes on as usual: the elite fills their pockets, and the partisans do not hide from the Koreans who react to them. The main character lives by himself, in fact, wi
