"Diablo" is a legend among the series of games. The first part was conceived as a turn-based RPG until a team of testers (the test was conducted in real time) noticed that testing the game is much more exciting than playing it. As a result, in half an hour the game was completely transferred from step-by-step to the real course of time. The release of the first part took place in 1996. A deafening explosion of popularity, millions of devoted fans, hundreds of references, persistent myths (cow level, for example), and even a new genre of hack & slash, which in the common people was called "another clone of Diablo".

Diablo II

In the two thousandth year, the start was given not only to the twenty-first century, but also to the long-awaited release, and according to the results, Diablo II broke the Guinness World Record as the fastest-selling game ever created (until 2000, when not all families had a PC yet).

According to the plot, the antagonist is the player character (warrior) from the first part of Diablo, and the companions helping him (archer and sorcerer) become one of the many bosses of Diablo 2, because each of them joined evil. And the protagonist of the second part becomes one of the characters of five different classes. The game turned out to be much longer than the first part, a lot of references were implemented (the same cow level, for example), a new look at the death of the character (although the old one from the first part remained in the form of a "hardcore mod") and much, much more.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

A year later, the addition "Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction" is released, in which:

• another act of adventure is added (new opponents and bosses, after which new equipment drops);
• added 2 more classes – Assassin and Druid;
• the plot of the three brothers, the "elder evils" of the underworld, ends.

Patches for the supplement were released until mid-2016, adapting the game to modern opera
