Tomb Raider is a relaunch of the famous eponymous series of action games that tell about a beautiful treasure seeker – Lara Croft. The development was handled by the Crystal Dynamics studio.

Plot

Lara Croft recently graduated from college. In it, she studied the legend of Yamatai Island, where the ancient ruler Pimiko supposedly lived and ruled. As the legends say, she was not just a great ruler, but also possessed the forces with which she controlled the forces of nature. In order to find her, Lara equipped an expedition on a ship and went to the Dragon Triangle. There, Lara's ship got caught in a storm and the crew was thrown ashore on that very island.

Exploring the island, the main character learns that ships and planes have been wrecked on it for many years. People who worship Pimico also live here. The cult members saw fit to sacrifice both Lara and her team members.

Gameplay

Compared to the previous parts, the developers have made a cardinal leap, which has completely changed both the graphics and the gameplay. The game has the following features:

• Lara can hunt animals;
• in battle, it is possible to use bows, an ice axe and various firearms that can be improved;
• there are even more puzzles related to the use of ancient mechanisms;
• there is an opportunity to pump skills that will help Lara survive and kill;
• the main character can climb buildings, and with the help of an ice axe and on rocks, etc.

Graphics

The developers used a completely new game engine, which brought the graphics in the series to a fundamentally new level. The game used high-resolution textures. Thanks to modern technologies, it was possible to create realistic figures and faces of characters played by famous actors.
