Pharaoh: A New Era

Pharaoh: A New Era is a city-building simulation set in Ancient Egypt, in which the player must develop cities and turn them into vibrant metropolises.

Review

The main gameplay mode is the single-player campaign, which consists of 50 missions. At the same time, each subsequent one is more difficult than the previous one. As part of its passage, it is necessary to bring order to many cities across the country and turn the Egyptian civilization into the most powerful in the world.

There is also a sandbox format, in which it is not necessary to perform any specific tasks. The player is given complete freedom of action and his goal is to develop the settlement until he gets bored. 

Gameplay

This build of Pharaoh: A New Era is a remake of the original video game, that was released at the very beginning of the 21st century. In this new version the developers significantly improved the graphics, but left it in two-dimensional. Also the addon Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile is included, that offers one more campaign. The addon was also redesigned, just like the original.

Among the main features of the gameplay of the simulator should be noted:

1. Each mission carries exclusively peaceful gameplay - the player will not need to wage war, as all attention is focused exclusively on the development of the settlement.
2. A large variety of buildings - all of them are divided by function, such as residential, industrial, farm, cultural, municipal and others.
3. The need to create an efficient production chain of goods.
4. It is important to extract resources from the surrounding area, including food, water, iron, cloth, and so on.
5. Particular attention must be paid to the demands of the populace and satisfy them so that they work hard for the greater good of Egypt.
