The Evil Within The Assignment offers the gamer a whole new storyline with the protagonist - a young female detective Julie.

Review

The action of the addon takes place partially before and parallel to the development of the original series. Julie Kidman, who is the partner of Sebastian Castellanos, faces the same evil. You will have to spend much less time to pass the add-on - just a few hours. Without this update, however, it is impossible to fully understand the story and the setting. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the adventure horror The Evil Within TheAssignment should be highlighted:

1. Unlike Sebastian, Julie cannot use firearms to destroy enemies.
2. The main gameplay mechanics is not combat, but stealth - the protagonist has to hide from enemies and thus not let them kill herself.
3. The key tool in her inventory will be a flashlight, with which you can solve puzzles, look for the Easter eggs, as well as to light the way in the dark rooms.
4. There is an opportunity to choose the hardcore level of difficulty, where there is no light in the room, and the only source of light is the flashlight.
