Distrust: Polar Survival
Distrust: Polar Survival is an unusual horror simulator with a polar atmosphere, in which the main opponent of the characters will be fear and hallucinations.
Review
In creating this dystopian adventure, the developers were inspired by John Carpenter's famous sci-fi horror film "The Thing". Events take place at the very edge of the world - at a distant polar station, with which contact has been lost. The main characters are two comrades and part-time rescuers who are caught in a snowstorm and now find themselves on the brink of death.
Once the protagonists reach the station, they discover devastation, but there is not a single sign of a living person anywhere. The rescuers must not only save their own skins, but also understand what happened here.
Gameplay
The key gameplay features of the horror adventure Distrust: Polar Survival are:
- Extremely important to keep the Persians' vital signs up to date, namely alertness, satiety, and health.
- The ability to switch between rescuers at any time.
- Initially, the gamer has only 2 characters to choose from, but as you pass, all 15 will open.
- All locations and items in them are procedurally generated.
- There are several endings.
- Lack of sleep, food or heat can lead to insanity, so the Persians begin to see hallucinations that can lead to insanity and even death of the hero.
- To understand where the truth and the hallucination lie requires switching to another rescuer to see what is happening from his side.
