Half-Life is one of the most popular shooters in history, with an elaborate storyline and gameplay that was revolutionary for its time. Half-Life is one of those games that made the shooter genre the way gamers see it today.

Review

The main character is a scientist engineer who works at a secret base called Black Mesa. There, scientists have been conducting secret experiments on a mysterious crystal of clearly alien nature for many years. Experiments on it lead to the so-called cascade resonance. It leads to the opening of a portal to the other world of Zen. From there, monsters from a hostile dimension begin to infiltrate the base. The protagonist must do his best to escape from the complex. 

However, the task is not as easy as it seems - monsters are already everywhere and on top of that the military decided to destroy all traces of the experiments and hide what happened from the world. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of futuristic action game Half-Life we should mention:

1. Opponents are monsters from the world of Zen, as well as soldiers of the corporation that intends to wipe the "Black Mesa" from the face of the earth.
2. There is an impressive arsenal of cold and firearms.
3. There are no cut-scenes, which makes the gameplay uninterrupted.
4. In addition to battles to solve physical puzzles associated with the opening of previously locked levels.
5. It is possible to occasionally use alien weaponry, which is considerably more powerful.
