Anno 1404 - History Edition is an updated version of the classic strategy video game, in which the graphics have been significantly improved, as well as optimized for modern video cards and monitors.

Review

Anno 1404 - History Edition, unlike many other economic strategies, has a developed storyline around which the campaign revolves. Events unfold around a fictional empire in Western Europe. Its Emperor falls ill and the protagonist - Treasurer Richard Norberg plans to build a grand cathedral to pray there for the health of the ruler.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Lucius is about to embark with his army on a crusade. The gamer will also have to follow him and take part in the war between the two religions - Christianity and Islam. 

Gameplay

Anno 1404 - History Edition brings no changes to the gameplay - it remains the same, but now has a beautiful visual wrapper. Among its main features are the following:

1. To pass the missions, the player is extremely important to build monuments - they cost huge resources, on give incredibly useful bonuses for the faction.
2. Missions range from resource recruitment to military invasion of other territories.
3. A wide variety of buildings, but to build them you need to accumulate a lot of raw materials.
4. Developed mechanics of trade, without which the prosperity of the state is impossible - for beginners it may seem complicated, and therefore there is a function to make it automatic.
5. Without trade the settlement simply will not develop, as he eventually need rare resources such as spices, and they can only be obtained by purchasing from distant neighbors.
