Anno 1404 is a video game in the genre of urban planning simulator and real–time economic strategy, the actions of which unfold throughout the 15th century.

Review

Despite the fact that all the characters in the Anno 1404 story campaign are fictional, the actions themselves take place against the background of real historical events. The main attention is paid to the crusades waged by Christians against the pagan and Muslim world. As part of this adventure, the gamer will have to conduct diplomatic relations with the Byzantine Empire, look for allies and fight against the Saracens.

There are 8 full-fledged story missions in total, as well as several training chapters at the very beginning. Complete each task at any of the difficulty levels – from easy to hard.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the Anno 1404 economic strategy, it is important to highlight:

1. Developed mechanics of construction and urban development, in which it is important to create areas competently, laying roads and placing buildings in such a way that every resident has access to the resource he needs.
2. The need to extract resources, process them into craft items, food, weapons, precious and so on.
3. There is a trading mechanic, which will become the main tool for earning a fortune.
4. You need to interact with non–player NPCs - both with your own citizens and with the rulers of neighboring factions.
5. The ability to conduct both land and large-scale naval battles in real time.
