The events of Sapiens take place in the prehistoric era, when there was not yet an advanced human civilization on Earth was not a single state.

In Sapiens there is no storyline as such, as the gameplay is a classic sandbox, in which the player himself chooses the path of development and has unlimited freedom of action.
