Hotline Miami

Hotline Miami is a retro shooter with an overhead view and attractive two-dimensional graphics that transports to an alternate universe in the United States, where the protagonist will perform his many murders.

Review

The action takes place in an alternate scenario. During the Cold War, the USSR decides to take drastic action and lands a landing in Hawaii, after which they use a nuclear bomb right in the middle of North America. The U.S. was then forced to agree to a humiliating peace and allowed all Soviet citizens to reside as long as they wanted in America and enjoy the same rights.

The protagonist, nicknamed Jacket, suddenly wakes up in his apartment and listens to an answering machine message that has an assignment written down for him. All the tasks are contracts to kill, for which there is a special reward. The protagonist also finds a new animal mask in his apartment every morning, which he can wear on the next mission.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay chips of the two-dimensional action thriller Hotline Miami it is necessary to note:

1. There is an impressive arsenal of modern firearms, throwing and edged weapons, as well as explosives.
2. You can choose from a variety of animal masks, which are not only cosmetic - they give certain bonuses and abilities, and those in turn facilitate or even complicate the gameplay.
3. All the murders are drawn quite brutally and bloody, so that the rating of the game reaches the "only for adults. 
4. Each level of gameplay is mostly about killing enemies, but in addition to the ordinary mobs, there are some pretty dangerous bosses.
5. The protagonist is as vulnerable as his enemies and dies with just one hit.
