Devil Inside Us: Roots of Evil puts you in the shoes of a priest named Augustus, who specializes in exorcism rites and is obliged to finish a thirty-year-old case.

Initially, the storyline tells about the events that took place back in 1984. At that time, the protagonist was a man in his prime and volunteered to help the family get rid of the presence of a demonic entity that settled in their house. However, that evil was so strong that the priest never managed to cope with the mission.

After this incident, the protagonist lost faith in his own strength and lived for years, feeling guilty for his failure. Now, when he is already 74 years old, the old man decided to atone for his guilt and correct the mistake. He again goes to the ill-fated house to get rid of the powerful demon once and for all.

The main gameplay features of the first-person horror film Devil Inside Us: Roots of Evil are:

1. The main weapon of the priest will be the crucifix, as well as prayers, with which he can drive away evil forces.
2. To exorcise the demon, you will need to collect a lot of information about him, for which you need to explore the virtual world for clues.

5. Despite the fact that the protagonist is able to drive away the demon, it is best not to catch his eye, since the old man, due to his age, is quite weak and cannot fight back indefinitely.
6. The hero cannot run for a long time due to old age, and after a long run he has shortness of breath and, in addition, he loses the ability to resist evil spirits until he regains strength.
