Kerbal Space Program (2015) PC

Announced in 2011, and fully released in 2015, the Kerbal Space Program became the heir to those space simulators that put realism and the physical component at the forefront. The last serious work in this genre was presented back in 1994. Since then, computer technology has only developed, which means that "KSP" has become even more realistic than its predecessors.

Game world

The setting is an alternative version of the Solar System, where a star called Kerbol acts as an analogue of the Sun. Planets:

• Moho – similar to Mercury is the planet closest to the center of the system;
• Eve is the second on the list – an alternative version of Venus;
• Kerbin – as you might guess, an analogue of the planet Earth;
• Dune – acts as Mars;
• Dres is a small planet acting as a less famous and significant for the Solar System Ceres;
• Jule the Giant, an alternate version of Jupiter;
• Iilu is the last planet on the list, replacing Pluto.

All of them, each in its own orbit, revolve around the center of the system. On Kerbin live small green humanoid creatures – kerbals, whose most important dream is to explore the cosmic distances.

Gameplay

In the "Kerbal Space Program" there are three game modes, in each of which you have to perform certain tasks:

1. Sandbox is an unlimited mode where the player is given complete freedom of action, endless resources, all pilots have maximum experience, and the space town is completely built up.
2. Scientific mode – the main element is a special technology tree, the currency is science points. Here the player will have to start from scratch, initially building simple aircraft from a small number of available parts. And for the implementation of certain programs – to receive science points for the purchase of new components.
3. Career mode – an economic component is added to everything else, which makes this mode as difficult as it is interesting.

The process of implementing the program is divided into three main stages: design and technological, the stage of launching the rocket from Kerbin and subsequent piloting. All the most obvious errors appear already at the second stage, while more subtle engineering inaccuracies in the design are detected at the third.
