War on the Sea
War on the Sea is a real–time strategy video game set in World War II and tells about the confrontation between the US navy and Imperial Japan.
Review
The gameplay in War on the Sea is exclusively single-player. Gamers can go through a story campaign, as well as individual historical battles. In the campaign there is a function to play exclusively for the US navy, but in ordinary battles you can try your hand for Asians.
The storyline of the campaign takes users to 1942, and the territory around the Solomon Islands will become the theater of operations. This area was of great strategic importance, and therefore the opposing sides threw huge forces there to seize control over it.
Gameplay
Among the key gameplay features of the War on the Sea military strategy, it is important to note:
- There is an opportunity to control a large number of military equipment, including huge battleships, submarines and naval aviation.
- A gamer cannot directly control every military unit – he, as commander-in-chief, is only able to give orders.
- All combat units were created from real prototypes – they have the same appearance and a set of tactical and technical characteristics.
- The locations are represented by vast oceanic territories – they are completely open, and therefore present an opportunity for colorful and effective tactical maneuvers.
