A monstrous epidemic of the black death swept across Europe not so long ago, as a result of which many castles and settlements were abandoned, and eventually were destroyed. Some of the population still managed to survive – now they are returning to their native lands and trying to rebuild cities and castles anew.

The gamer acts as something like a lord who manages a small group of settlers and is obliged to ensure a bright future for them and turn the devastated land into a prosperous land. To achieve this, you will have to overcome a lot of challenges – fight bandits and other lords, defend yourself from wild animals and resist hunger itself, as well as bad weather.

Gameplay

Among the key gameplay features of the strategic video game Going Medieval, it is required to note:

1. Thoughtful mechanics of construction, which allows you to erect buildings of various types – from ordinary residential buildings, to industrial premises and defensive fortifications.
2. The need to plan ahead and take into account the costs of food and other resources in such a way that they are enough to survive a hard winter or some kind of natural cataclysm.
3. Dynamic system of changing weather conditions and seasons, which greatly affects the gameplay and complexity.
4. You can't let the settlers get bored – they have to work in workshops, hunt, protect the city, but at the same time it is important for them to provide all the conditions – a warm house, create food and other supplies, provide protection.
