God of War 2 is a continuation of the famous slasher series with RPG elements, in which gamers once again take control of Kratos. He was a demigod who defied the Olympians and now intends to crush the gods.

Plot

After the events of the previous part, the protagonist becomes the god of war, as he kills Ares. He is invited to Olympus, but Zeus betrays Kratos, because he believes that he wants to steal his throne. As a result, the supreme Olympian kills the main character.

His soul falls into the kingdom of Hades, but Gaia comes to his aid, who was also betrayed by Zeus. He rescues Kratos from the underworld and gives the task to find the sisters of fate, who are able to turn back time and destroy the god of thunder.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of God of War 2, it is necessary to note:

1. In addition to endless battles, the gamer will be forced to solve puzzles, which often have low complexity and require only the correct sequence in the activation of mechanisms.
2. To complete it, you will need to overcome 26 missions with gradually increasing difficulty.
3. The protagonist can move around locations not only on foot, but also on a mythological creature – Pegasus, and in the future he receives the artifact wings of Icarus.
4. The main weapon is the blades of the goddess Athena, with which he is able to turn incredibly colorful combinations.
5. In addition to ordinary opponents, Kratos will fight against gods and ancient monsters, some of which are the size of a skyscraper.

PC version
