Plot

After the events of the first part on Mars, nanotechnology gets to Earth, where numerous criminal organizations are trying to use it. Over time, the leader of the Commonwealth Republic state manages to find research related to nanotechnology.

On their basis, he creates the first super soldiers who join his ranks from an already powerful army assembled to seize power. However, soon Chancellor Viktor Sopot begins to fear his own creation and orders to kill all the super soldiers. Most of them die, but a small detachment manages to survive. Instead, Sopot begins to create so-called modified soldiers with washed consciousness based on nanotechnology.

The story is narrated by one of the surviving members of the super soldier squad, who founded the underground and are fighting against the dictatorship of Viktor Sopot.

Gameplay

Among the key gameplay changes that Red Faction 2 suffered in comparison with the previous part, it is necessary to highlight:

• advanced system of destruction of objects of the surrounding world – they can be broken, blown up and shot;
• added new items like night vision devices and unique types of grenades;
• nonlinear plot development – depending on the decisions made by the player, the ending changes (there are four types of endings in total);
