War for the Overworld is a simulator where you have to become the ruler of the dark ones, train hordes of goblins, build underground cities and train to increase magical abilities.

The Underworld

The gamer, as the ruler of goblins living underground, needs to construct structures of various levels of complexity. They will breed, learn, educate, train ... in general, small nasty creatures will live. We send armies of workers with pickaxes, and they quickly cut through passages and rooms in huge arrays of stones. Now you can build barracks, martens, and everything else here. Next, you need to explore new territories: to dig a passage, to master the already cut corridors in order to expand possessions and extract resources. Having an army, we go to conquer the dungeons already controlled by someone. Basically, the enemy will be people, but also their own kind, who refuse to join the army of the ruler, will have to be removed from the way.

Combat Magic

Summoning workers consumes the magical energy of the overlord – mana. It is restored automatically, but not very quickly. At the same time, building something or cutting through rocks and fighting is unlikely to work. Magic is more needed by warriors, especially healing and combat spells. Setting a trap or a simple defensive structure (patina, ice trap) is another means of spending magical energy. Such a balance will not allow you to defend, attack and build at the same time, or fill the corridors with traps to the point of failure and go about your business.

Magic can be spent for more noble purposes, defenders and soldiers for capture groups can be recruited from the common people: they go themselves, except for food and a bed, they ask for a small salary, and that's it. Only after the next massacre, the army of volunteers will have to be collected almost from zero.

Game modes

In addition to the campaign, there are three modes in War for the Overworld:

• "Battles" – the battle of two lords in PvP mode or against AI;
• "Battle for survival" – endless reserves of resources and the need to hold out longer;
• "Sandbox" is a training and familiarization mode.

Everyone has their own home

Depending on the quantitative and specific composition of subordinates, the ruler will have to provide magicians with a laboratory, trolls who create huge defensive structures with a slaughterhouse and fresh meat, sorcerers with a library to improve their skills and gain new knowledge, workers with a couple of taverns
